Career education, community service and caring for veterans recently shared a spotlight with Stillwater High School junior Madalyn Byrnes, who was interviewed by WTEN News 10 as she and fellow Environmental Conservation & Forestry students trimmed trees at Saratoga National Cemetery.
On Sept. 22, Madalyn and the WSHWE BOCES class took part in the seventh annual Saluting Branches Day of Service, when forestry staff nationwide commemorate veterans by cleaning up and beautifying greenery at veterans memorials and cemeteries.
WTEN reporter Jay Petrequin asked Madalyn about her career goals, which include taking over her father’s tree business, where she has helped out for some time, and becoming an EnCon officer.
