Great news from Coach Shawn McClements: “We’ll have a lot of Stillwater representation at the New York State Track & Field Championships to be held March 5 at Ocean Breeze (Staten Island).

Kelly Moran will represent Section 2 as the top triple jumper and also qualified in the long jump. Gianna Locci will compete in the long jump, triple jump, and the 55-meter dash. Gianna is the solid favorite at states in the long jump (ranked #1 in the state all season). She is also ranked #2 in the entire nation currently!

To qualify for states, Kelly and Gianna had to be #1 or #2 in all of Section 2, beating the large school competition.”

Stillwater is making news in other sports as well.  Connor Julian won the top individual six-game series for the third consecutive year at the Wasaren League tournament, with a 1,350  point total.
