On Friday, Oct. 6, the newest members of the Stillwater Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducted. This year’s inductees are Jackie Blake, Deborah Dennis, Bobby Maher, and Michelle (Dunn) Mercier. The inductees will be honored in the middle school cafeteria at 6 p.m. before the varsity Indian Bowl game versus Mechanicville. They will also be honored on the field during halftime. Congratulations to this year’s class! Below is a list of some of their accomplishments.
Jackie Blake, Coach

Deborah Dennis, Athlete, Class of 1977
- Four-year, four-sport varsity athlete 1973-1977
- Played Field Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball and Softball
- MVP in all four sports senior year
- First girl to win Chieftain’s Cup in 1977
- Earned a full scholarship to play field hockey at Southern Illinois University
- Player on the first USA Women’s Rugby team in 1987 and earned two international caps
- Coached All-Blue Rugby Club for four years (1992-93, 1995-97)
- Coached Piedmont High Girls’ Rugby Club for two years (1998-99)
- USTA Ranked tennis player (2007-2012)
- Competitive outrigger canoe racer for 10 years (2000-2010)
