Stillwater Middle School Drama Club presents: “Rock of Ages”

Travel back in time and rock out like it’s 1988 again at the upcoming production of “Rock of Ages,” presented by the Stillwater Middle School Drama Club!

In this family-friendly, one-hour show, dreamers Drew and Sherrie set out on an unforgettable adventure to Los Angeles, determined to make it big on the city’s infamous Sunset Strip. Their story unfolds as the Dupree Room, “a legendary temple of rock n’ roll excellence,” faces demolition by developers who plan to replace it with a strip mall. The threat of the venue’s closure brings legendary rocker Stacee Jaxx to town, offering Drew a chance to fulfill his dream of rocking out with the best. As Drew abandons Sherrie to pursue his dream of stardom, trouble brews and the Dupree Room is sold to developers – leaving the future uncertain.

Filled with iconic hits, like “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Here I Go Again,” and so much more, “Rock of Ages: Youth Edition” is a perfect opportunity to sing along to classic rock anthems and introduce children of all ages to the magic of live theatre (and 80’s music) in a fun and wholesome way.
