In the spring, Stillwater Elementary students collected change for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients Campaign, a campaign they participate in each year. In just less than two weeks of collecting change, the school as whole raised $500.
As a science-based service-learning program, Pennies for Patients connects schools with local blood cancer patients, provides tangible life skills to participants, and allows students to see the impact they’re making in the lives of others.
Money raised through Pennies for Patients gets invested in groundbreaking cancer research, patient education and support services, and advocacy efforts aimed at making treatments more accessible and affordable for families.
Thank you, Stillwater Elementary, for your kindness, generosity and support! You help make the world a better place!
