At its meeting on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, the Stillwater Central School District Board of Education appointed Mr. Scott Messineo as the district’s business manager. He officially started in the district on June 1, 2018.
Messineo comes to Stillwater from the New York State Comptroller’s Office, where he most recently served as the Principal Examiner of Municipal Affairs. He also served in numerous other roles at the Comptroller’s Office since 2001.
“My experience in auditing, as well as managing and supervising audits of school districts for the past 16 years, have more than prepared me to serve in my new role with the Stillwater Central School District,” Messineo said. “I’m excited to be a member of this staff and I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
“Mr. Messineo is a great addition to our district office,” Superintendent Patricia Morris said. “His experience makes him a strong asset and we are pleased to be bringing someone with his skill set and expertise to our team.”
The opening in the position is due to the retirement of Mark Methe during the 2017-18 school year.
