Local news anchor and author John Gray visited with Stillwater Middle School students on Friday, Sept. 20 as part of “We Are Stillwater” Day. Gray read his book “Keller’s Heart,” a story about a girl and a dog who show others that it’s okay to be different and that everyone needs a friend. Gray also emphasized what it means to have empathy and compassion for others.

“We’re all different. We’re all family. We’re all from Stillwater,” Gray said. “The world is a lot better when we’re all accepting.”
