Dear Stillwater Community,
Since the last message I sent to families on Saturday, Dec. 30, the district has confirmed four additional positive cases of COVID-19 in our school community with the Saratoga County Department of Health. The cases include:
- Three individuals associated with the elementary school community
- One individual associated with the middle school community
Since the district moved to remote instruction on Tuesday, Dec. 15, none of these cases presented exposure to our school community.
Today, the district will report a total of 13 cases to the New York State COVID-19 dashboard, including the nine other cases I shared with you on Dec. 30. That is because when school is on break we do not report cases to the dashboard.
Thank you for continuing to inform the district of potential exposure, testing, quarantines and/or possible positive test results. This information helps to keep us current on the potential spread of the virus in our town, village and school.
As a reminder, if your child is in need of meals during our remote learning period, please contact Food Services Director Joan Hopeck at jhopeck@scsd.org.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to your school principal.
Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
