At its meeting on Tuesday, July 10, the board of education appointed Mr. Raymond Colucciello as the interim elementary principal, while the search for a permanent principal takes place.
Colucciello comes to Stillwater after serving interim positions at eight school districts, in addition to being a superintendent at four, including Fonda-Fultonville, Albany, Ballston Spa and Schenectady.
He also served as a principal in Sharon Springs, Schenectady, and Scotia Glenville and an assistant principal in Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake. In total, Colucciello has served in twelve districts.
He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in elementary education and a university certificate and doctorate in education administration.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Colucciello to our district,” Superintendent Patricia Morris said. “It’s clear that his expertise and experience in education will allow for a smooth transition into the 2018-19 school year, and as we work on a thorough search for a permanent elementary principal.”
Colucciello will begin in Stillwater immediately.
