Dear Stillwater families,
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, the elementary school was closed due to minor water damage from a pipe that burst in the building. The pipe burst was discovered in a classroom on Monday and some damage was discovered in a few classrooms, as well as some other spaces. The district maintenance staff responded immediately, as well as outside contractors. In order for the spaces to be properly cleaned, the building needed to be closed.
The building will re-open to students and staff on Wednesday, Nov. 13. As of right now, there are still areas that are unable to be used and some students and staff members will be displaced until the clean up is complete. I will be sending home a letter to parents and guardians of students who will be impacted on Wednesday. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
Rebecca Toleman
Stillwater Elementary Principal
