Military members and their families make daily sacrifices to ensure the safety and security of our nation, specifically children over the course of their K-12 education. That’s why April has been designated as the Month of the Military Child or “Purple Up! For Military Kids.” Throughout the month, states and school districts nationwide will engage in special activities and wear purple to honor the pivotal role military children play, and recognize the unique challenges they face while their family members serve our country.
The Stillwater Central School District has selected Wednesday, April 17 as the district’s “Wear Purple Day,” to celebrate and support our military-connected students. Purple symbolizes all branches of the military. We encourage all staff and students to participate!
