Senior Riley Dunn receives AASBA Community Service AwardRiley Dunn

May 26, 2017- Stillwater senior Riley Dunn was recently selected as an Adirondack Area School Boards (AASBA) Community Service Award winner. He was one of 27 area seniors who were nominated by AASBA member school districts for their outstanding community service. All of the students were honored at a dinner on Thursday, May 11.

Riley is an active member of the community and was nominated by Stillwater Central School District for all of his volunteer service, which includes:

  • Assisted with the HOBY Weekend as part of the HOBY J-Staff
  • Area 5 CLEW (Mini HOBY) program volunteer
  • Holds 4-H clinics for younger members
  • Key Club volunteer for blood drive, care package collection for troops & holiday shopping for underprivileged families
  • National Honor Society Volunteer that assists with SCSD open houses & other district activities as needed
  • Link Crew volunteer for freshman orientation & monthly activities
  • Volunteer via Student Government for food bank collection & execution of Teen Scene activity night

 

At Stillwater, Riley is a member of Key Club, Link Crew, Student Government, National Honor Society, and Friends of Rachel.

All students who were honored received a $250 scholarship from AASBA. Congratulations, Riley!
