What prompted you to choose a career in education?

It was accidental. I had no idea what I wanted to do and I was encouraged by administrators and teachers in college.

What is your favorite event at Stillwater?

So far I would have to say Class Day, Prom, and After-Prom because it was a nice way to connect with students.

If you could teach a certain subject area, what would it be and why?

I would teach English. It was a strength area I’ve always had. I would avoid science and leave that to the experts.

When you were in high school, what did you want to be when you "grew up?"

I had no idea what I wanted to be!

What is the most unusual job you've ever had?

I was an inventory management specialist managing torpedo systems for the U.S. Navy.

What would students be surprised to know about you?

I was on an undefeated basketball team in high school and I was a very good high jumper.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to spend time with my grandkids. I also enjoy spending time on my boat on Saratoga Lake.

What are the top three items on your "bucket list?"

1) Make a difference for kids
2) Form great connections with my kids and grandkids
3) Travel to warm places

What are your favorite sports teams?

Cleveland Cavaliers (more specifically, LeBron James)

What are currently reading/listening to?

I'm currently reading administrative materials and listening to Meghan Traninor, Maroon 5, and anything else that's on the radio!
