Stillwater's Britaney Myers named to national bowling teamBritaney Myers

June 23, 2016 – Stillwater’s Britaney Myers was one of five female student-athletes named to the 2015-2016 Dexter/United States Bowling Congress High School All-American Team.

Britaney just completed her junior year and has been a first-team all-star in the Adirondack League the last three seasons for Stillwater. She won the New York State Section 2 Class C title in 2015 and 2016. She's also on the track and volleyball teams, and is a member of the chorus and band. Her volunteer work includes the Breast Cancer Relay for Life, Annual Hospice Walk, and the Red Cross Blood Drive.

Each student-athlete is nominated by their coach or athletic director. They must also have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and must submit their high school bowling accomplishments, a letter of recommendation and a 500-word essay to be considered for selection. Each student-athlete receives a $1,000 scholarship and will be recognized at this year’s Junior Gold Championships in July.
