Middle school student’s artwork showcased in special exhibit

Simon Douglas with his artworkMay 2, 2014 – Congratulations to Stillwater seventh-grader Simon Douglas, who had three pieces of artwork featured in the 3rd Annual Autism Awareness Information Fair and Art Exhibit at the Saratoga Springs City Center on April 27.

Simon is shown at right with two of his creations. The first piece is called, “Grown Up Simon,” which he created in Mrs. Peterson’s art class. The second piece is called, "Goofy Guy,” which he created at home.

The Autism Awareness Information Fair is sponsored by the Parent Network of the Capital Region, Saratoga Bridges, the Skidmore Psychology Department, and Wilcenski & Pleat, PLLC. This annual event offers information about community resources available for individuals with autism. The art exhibit provides an opportunity for artists with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities to showcase their talents.
