Stillwater Warrior Walk to be held on Sept. 28

Updated Sept. 27, 2013 — Save the date for the fourth annual Stillwater Central School District Warrior Walk on Saturday, Sept. 28. Opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 a.m., with a special performance from the middle/high band. Walking will begin at 12 noon and will conclude at 8 p.m. All festivities will be held on the Stillwater football field.

There will be plenty of fun activities for the entire family, including a bounce house, field events—and of course, lots of walking! There will also be a coat drive from 1-4 p.m. and two soccer scrimmages beginning at 2:30 p.m.

You do not need to form a team or give the desired $100 donation to be a part of the festivities. Attendees can give a general donation in any amount. If you do want to form a team, download a registration form to participate (PDF). Again, teams do not have to raise the recommended $100 amount to participate.

Please contact Middle School Principal Patti Morris at 373-6100, ext. 30010 if you have any questions.

Last year's Warrior Walk, sponsored by Stillwater Middle School’s Friends of Rachel Club, brought in $2,500 in donations. The donations were distributed among two local food pantries, a local family for medical bills, the widows and children of September 11, specifically designated for Scholarship America’s Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, and to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
