Grades 5-8 Parent Information Night, "What is all this TESTING about?"

Parents asked to fill out form and return to child's school building

Nov. 20, 2012 – On Dec. 5, all parents of students in grades 5-8 are invited to a special information night called, “What is all this TESTING about?” The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the MS/HS Library Media Center, and is expected to last approximately one hour.

At the information night, middle school teachers will talk about the new Common Core Learning Standard shifts for English language arts and math and the upcoming spring assessments, and will also ask for suggestions about the school-home partnership for continued student success. Refreshments will be provided by the Stillwater Teachers’ Association between sessions.

Fill out the attached form (PDF) to indicate if you are or are not coming and return it to your child's school building main office. This same form, along with a reminder sticker, will be included in your child’s report card.
